Liz Savage

Mrs. Savage is the wife to Mr. Aaron Savage and the mother to Jaxon and Cooper. She is a graduate of Pope High School is Marietta, Georgia.  Upon graduating, she attended Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, AL.  During her tenure at JSU, Mrs. Savage was section leader, student staff, and participated in the Chamber Winds.  In May 2003, Mrs. Savage graduated from JSU and started her career in Roanoke, AL at Handley Middle School and Handley High School teaching grades 5-12 band. Upon taking the job, the band had 13 members and by the end of her second year, the band had 85 members.  Wanting to teach in her home state of Georgia, Mrs. Savage took a job in Tifton, GA at Charles Spencer Elementary and Matt Wilson Elementary where she taught 6th grade beginning band and 4th and 5th grade general music.  After a year, she moved up to Eighth Street Middle School in Tifton, where she remained for the following 8 years.  Constantly earning superiors in evaluation(s), the focus of “commitment to excellence” was instilled in the program.  As student involvement in district and region band increased yearly, so did the level of music being played in the ensembles.
Currently, Mrs. Savage is the Director of Bands at Colquitt County High School. Since her arrival in 2012, 50th Regiment has continuously receive superior ratings in all marching festivals and placed 3rd at the 2015 Coffee Marching Invitation in Douglas, GA. CCHS Jazz band has performed at many local events as well as the ABAC Jazz Festival every year.  Under Mrs. Savage's baton, the CCHS symphonic band and concert band has consistently performed with superiority at Georgia Bandmaster's Concert Festival in Bainbridge, GA. She is a member of GMEA, PAGE, NEA, and GEA. The Savage’s live in Moultrie.
